Ice Cream: Raspberry Jam
I made a Raspberry ice cream the other week. I started out on this recipe with Black Raspberry in mind, but couldn’t procude any Black Raspberry jam from my local market. So, Raspberry had to do.
This was an interesting recipe in that all of the flavor came from the jam. The ice cream really reflected the flavor of the jam, so calibrating for the ice cream flavor is pretty easy: find a jam you like.
Mixing in the chocolate chips provide a nice texture and complemented the fruit flavor as well. It broke up the ice cream; otherwise, it would’ve felt like just eating, well, cold & solidified jam.
